Opening hours

The facility is open year-round for visitors and overnight stays.

June–August: Open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (the kitchen closes at 9:00 PM).

September through the autumn holiday: Open from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Dinner can also be served after 6:00 PM if a table is reserved in advance.

During the winter season, we offer self-catering accommodation, and groups can book accommodation, meals, and activities.

Fyrverket at Tranøy is open Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

Getting here

Tranøy Lighthouse is easily accessible via a 250 meter long bridge and parking lot.

We offer transportation and planning for air, car or boat, and have a 9-seater for local transportation needs by appointment.

You don’t need a boat to get all the way to the lighthouse.

From Bodø

  • By car: approx. 3.5 hours (no ferry)
  • Bus: approx. 4 hours
  • Speedboat: approx. 2.5 hours to Skutvik, then approx. 40 minutes by car or bus to Tranøy Lighthouse

From Evenes

  • By car: approx. 3 hours, including ferry from Lødingen to Bognes

We have 40 beds in 16 rooms. Each building has its own history, and the charming rooms each have their own unique style, taking you back in time. Here you are guaranteed a good night’s sleep.

food and drink

Naustet Mat & Drikke used to be a boathouse, where the boat was pulled up from the sea with a boat cart on a sturdy rail. Today, the smell of boats and the sea has been replaced by delicious scents from the kitchen.
