From lighthouse breakfasts to evening dinners, Tranøy Lighthouse offers local flavors in unique surroundings.
Our restaurant “Naustet Mat & Drikke” used to be a boathouse, where the boat was pulled up from the sea with a boat cart on a sturdy rail. Today, the smell of the boat and the sea has been replaced with delicious aromas from the kitchen.
lunch
During the summer season, breakfast is served every day from 08:00-10:00.
During the winter season, we offer self-catering accommodation for individuals. The serving of food in the winter season can be arranged for groups.
You can look forward to the breakfast buffet, which will give you energy and a good start to the day. We can tempt you with everything from homemade bread, rolls, crispbread and muesli, to locally produced cold cuts and the lighthouse’s own jams.
If you have an early departure, we are happy to prepare a breakfast package for you, which you can pick up the evening before.
lunch
During the summer season (May-October), lunch is served every day from 12:00-16:00.
During the winter season, we offer self-catering accommodation for individuals. The serving of food in the winter season can be arranged for groups.
For lunch, we offer Fyret’s fish soup and various sandwiches with local and homemade toppings such as our unique fish cake and skagen batter. Often we also offer a lunch of the day, depending on availability of ingredients and appetite. We have pancakes for the children and also offer waffles, cinnamon rolls and cakes. Serving food during the winter season can be arranged for groups of 8 or more.

During the summer season (May-October), dinner is served daily from 17:00-21:00.
During the winter season (November-April) we offer self-catering accommodation for individuals. Food service during the winter season can be arranged for groups, and for dinner you can choose between different meat, fish or vegetarian dishes.
Since taking over Tranøy Lighthouse, we have introduced new dishes, but also upgraded some of the more traditional dishes that had become part of the lighthouse’s identity.
Perhaps you’d like to try our signature grilled stockfish dish, enjoy bacalao, or the lighthouse moose meatballs? To utilize the resources we have available, we’ve also introduced a fish of the day or meat dish of the day. We also offer appetizers and desserts. On the children’s menu, we have spaghetti bolognese, but children can also get children’s portions of all our dishes.
We organize a Light and Food Festival in February/March and offer a Christmas party.

Opening hours
The facility is open all year round for the public and accommodation.
In winter, we offer self-catering and groups can book accommodation, food and activities.
The restaurant is open daily from 09:00-21:00 in June, July and August, and from 12:00-18:00 in May and September.
Getting here
Tranøy Lighthouse is easily accessible via a 250 meter long bridge and parking lot.
We offer transportation and planning for air, car or boat, and have a 9-seater for local transportation needs by appointment.

- Bus: approx. 4 hours
- Speedboat: approx. 2.5 hours to Skutvik, then approx. 40 minutes by car or bus to Tranøy Lighthouse
From Evenes
- By car: approx. 3 hours, including ferry from Lødingen to Bognes
